All portfolios will be aligned with standards to demonstrate how the candidate has addressed a given set of proficiencies. Students in both the Instructional Technology and Performance & Training Technology masters programs will be expected to align their portfolio with the Association for Educational Communications and Technology's Standards for the Accreditation of School Media Specialist and Educational Technology Specialist Programs (formerly ECIT Standards). Portfolios are aligned with these ECIT standards, because both programs are based upon the standards and the candidates’ reflections on how their products connect with these standards will enhance program evaluation.
