The material in this document describes the sequence for developing the professional portfolio at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa. Because the portfolio is a required element of the teacher education program at UNI, the teacher education student will have the opportunity to work on the portfolio through a sequence of steps that are described in this document. The portfolio requirement and the development process described in this document will be reviewed periodically to make them consistent with the expectations of the teacher education program at the University of Northern Iowa and the understanding of best practices within the profession.
