Students earning an Instructional Technology masters degree or undergraduate minor are seeking study that provides
them with opportunities to explore current technologies and those
that will be found in the future. The major goal of our programs
is to provide students with as many opportunities as possible
to examine instructional design and learning processes along
with technology's role in facilitating learning whether in the
K-12, post-secondary or corporate setting. Instructional
Technology programs are focused on teaching, scholarship,
leadership, and service. The programs stress these elements of
its mission with both faculty and students. To that end,
the program provides students with opportunities to engage in
demonstration of effective application of technology in teaching,
to engage in scholarship activities, and to develop leadership
roles in learning communities.
The
mission of UNI Instructional Technology, a division of the Department of Curriculum
and Instruction, is to prepare professionals who demonstrate
capable performance and insightful leadership, and to provide
advanced study and professional growth opportunities for practicing
