Making
false comparisons - False Analogies Saying two things are alike..... when they are more different than similar Sometimes people do this to just agree with each other or it's easier than explaining the differences. |

Often we make false analogies for the sake
of expediency or because we are thinking of very limited aspects of
the objects or situations under consideration. For example... To your
child you might say, "Yes honey a skunk is like a kitty."
While these false analogies may help in the short run they can cause a variety of problems if we consistently try to force their application. An example of someone making a false statement You are just like the government, they get all these hair-brained
ideas and put a lot of money into them and then we end up paying taxes
and get nothing for it. |
