Emery Tew Viva Budworth Mondloch Scholarship Recipient "She is a strikingly insightful student and stands out for her diligence and her intellectual curiosity. " 2006 Recipient of the Purple and Gold award for Early Child Education.

Emery Tew’s scholarship was made possible through the generosity of Viva Mondlach… Through a bequest to the University of Northern Iowa Viva Mondlach established the Viva Budworth Mondlach Scholarship for a student majoring in education.
Major/Minor: Early Childhood/Elementary Education, K-6 reading minor

Hometown: Williams, IA

Leading and Volunteering: Kappa Delta Pi member Elementary Partnership- tutor with a 2nd grader once a week St. Stephen's choir.

Why UNI is special to me: My professors know me by name and help me to find my full potential. They treat me as a person, as a teacher, not just a number or a face in the crowd.

Favorite Campus Setting : SEC is a good place to hang out. It is where I am most of the time when I am on campus. I work and have classes in SEC. It is probably one of the hardest-to-figure-out buildings on campus!
