Story-Based Curriculum for Teaching English as a Foreign Language in Russian Elementary Schools

Presentation for COE faculty and staff:

A story-based curriculum is required for teaching English as a foreign language in Russian elementary schools. Russian educators are required to follow the national curriculum in the teaching of foreign languages.

Dr. Kira Ostapenko of the Russian State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg will present an approach that allows teachers to incorporate children’s literature into the study of English.
