UNI to host school administrators for diversity workshop

Approximately 45 Iowa school administrators will visit the University of Northern Iowa for a diversity workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29 in the Alumni Suite at the McLeod Center.

The workshop, "The Changing Face of Iowa Students," coordinated by UNI's Educational Leadership program will feature UNI speakers Mark Grey, program director, Iowa Center for Immigrant Leadership and Integration and five Iowa school administrators from Perry, Storm Lake, Marshalltown, West Liberty and Postville. They will discuss challenges and success in schools serving Iowa's increasingly diverse pre-K through12 students.

This workshop is part of UNI's Principals and Superintendents Advisory Council that meets twice a year to discuss pressing education topics. For more information, contact Nick Pace, assistant professor, UNI Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling and Postsecondary Education (319) 273-2368.
