COE Computer Facilities Updates

The College of Education Technology Committee approved the following improvements to COE computer facilities:

SEC 206 Mac Lab will be converted to Windows XP Computer Laboratory. The laboratory now has 21 Dell computers with 15" LCD monitors: 3.2 GHz / 1 GB RAM /CD-RW/DVD drive, and zip drive.

SEC 123a Windows lab will be converted to a multimedia classroom. This multimedia classroom will have a console which includes: Dell computer with CD-RW (DVD), Zip drive; VCR/DVD unit, document viewer, a projection unit, and cable to attach a laptop computer. Additional data cables are available for computer connections.

WRC 154 Windows Lab computers will be updated with 31 new Dell desktop computers.

Two new high-end computers (Windows and Mac) will be placed in SEC 403 to enhance video editing capabilities for COE Technology courses.

Two additional multimedia classrooms (SEC 113 and WRC 103) will be installed by Spring 07 semester.

We hope to have SEC 206, 123a and WRC 154 upgrades in place by the beginning of the Fall semester.
