Associate Dean

The College of Education at the University of Northern Iowa is seeking an Associate Dean.  The Associate Dean reports to the Dean and serves as an Academic Administrator and a member of the Management Team for the College. 

Responsibilities:  1] Coordinate the graduate and undergraduate levels of the College; 2] Coordinate the various international initiatives of the College; 3] Coordinate the partnership programs of the College including school, organizations, and community partnerships; 4] Coordinate the continuing education and professional development activities of the College; and 5] Teach in a department appropriate to the candidate’s qualifications [one course per semester]. 

Qualifications:  Candidates must be tenured and have:  1] Earned doctorate in education or related field; 2] Demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service commensurate with academic rank; 3] Evidence of strong communication, interpersonal, and work skills; 4] Experience in graduate level education; and 5] Experience in collaboration and partnerships with schools or organizations.  Desired qualifications include:  1] Demonstrated leadership experience in postsecondary settings; and 2] Experience in doctoral level education.
