The Schindler Education Center (SEC) is on the north
side of campus and is building number 18 on the campus

Schindler Education Center (SEC)
The Schindler Education Center became the home of
the COE soon after UNI became a liberal arts university.
Most COE programs and courses are housed here. SEC
features several multimedia classrooms and lecture

Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC)
The Wellness and Recreation Center houses two
programs: the COE’s School of Health, Physical
Education, and Leisure Services and Wellness and
Recreation Services, where students can join a
racquetball league, get a massage, or have their
body fat tested. In addition to a world-class
recreational facility, the WRC features classrooms,
faculty offices, and research labs. website

Malcolm Price Laboratory School (PLS)
Malcolm Price Laboratory School serves approximately
650 NK-12 students in one of the nation’s
outstanding settings for clinical teacher education
and research at the early childhood, elementary,

School
The Freeburg School researches the effectiveness
of constructivist principles in the education
of children 3-5 years old. The school serves as
the primary research facility for the Regents’
