Farah Kashef joined the ITS-ET department in fall 2013 and is the Faculty Technology Integration Specialist for the College of Education. She received her MA in Performance and Training Technology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011 and has worked as an instructional technologist and instructional development specialist prior to her current position.
Farah assists the faculty in the College of Education with eLearning, and other ITS-supported technologies to discover new and better ways to enhance instruction. She conducts training sessions (one-on-one, or in small groups) teaching faculty and staff how to use new technologies. She may also co-teach with the faculty on any technology tool suggested for students' assignments and activities, such as VoiceThread, ePortfolio, blog, or Poll Everywhere.
Farah has 8 years of experience in higher education, teaching health related courses at Hawkeye Community College, as well as courses for the College of Education at UNI. She is also a certified Quality Matters peer reviewer for online courses.
