Education and Outreach 

on The Student Research Program 

The Water Quality Education Research Internship's mission has been to educate citizens on water quality issues, and to provide Iowa teachers with classroom approaches for science lessons, focusing on water quality  to inform students of the issues we as Iowans face.

 Student interns and their advisor have provided education and outreach by focusing on three things:

1. Constructing a curriculum

2. Evaluating the curriculum

3. Disseminating it to Iowa's teacher

            a. Clear Lakes Workshop

          b. UNI Water Quality Course

UNI students with the aid of their advisor have reached out to the community in order to educate Iowa's citizens about water quality.
