Gaining Panther Success (G.P.S.)
Mentor Program

Notice for the 2009-2010 year:
The G.P.S. Mentor Program is not currently up and running. Please contact the CME with any questions or concerns and check back in the future!

This program is designed to support and encourage new students from diverse backgrounds in their academic and personal growth during their first year at UNI. The GPS program provides an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their academic and personal success in a university environment.

Mentors are students who have successfully transitioned into university life at UNI. They serve as guides who meet with their new mentees in
individual and group meetings. Mentees receive one-on-one encouragement, information on academic and communityresources, and many opportunities to attend on- and off-campus activities with their mentors.
