Race is Not a Card. Challenging Racism, Privilege and White Denial in America. Diversity Week Keynote Speaker Presentation by Tim Wise.

 

Tim Wise, one of the most prominent anti-racist writers and activists in the U.S. shares the different sides of racism in our country. Having spoken in 48 states and in over 400 college campuses he has trained teachers as well as corporate, government, media and law enforcement officials on methods for dismantling institutional racism. Tim has
contributed essays to fifteen books and is the author of "White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son" and "Disasters, Natural and Otherwise: Racism, Classism, and Hurricane Katrina" which comes out in 2006. Wise has a BA in Political Science from Tulane University where his anti-apartheid work received global attention and the thanks from Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. www.timwise.org
