Job Title: Public Relations Intern/Assistant

Job Description
(tasks,duties):
Assist the Assistant Director for Multicultural
Education in promoting the activities and services of the CME via: press
releases; developing of fliers and ads; acting as liaison between the
Center and the UNI Office of Marketing and Public Relations; initiating
marketing strategies for new programs and activities; and other related
duties.
Qualifications: Familiar with programs related to publishing
preferred: Publisher, QuarkXPress, PrintShop, PowerPoint, etc.; some
classes or experiences creating promotional fliers preferred; and area
of study (major) related to PR. Students wanting to earn credit alone or
in addition to work study are welcome to apply. This student must be
dependable, responsible, and have the ability to follow directions well

and not need direct supervision; positive attitude; ability to problem
solve and be creative; ability to work well independently and as part of
a team; interested in learning more about or being involved in
multicultural activities and services.

Hours Required: 8-12 Per Week
Schedule Required: Flexible
Additional Comments: This position is for work study students only.
