Haskell Dancers
The Haskell Dance Performers are a group of Native American dancers who represent Haskell Indian Nations University, Lawrence, Kansas. The performers come dressed in their traditional dance regalia and provide an explanation of their particular dance style and then demonstrate the inter-tribal dance style that is unique among many tribes throughout North America. Their dance regalia are outfitted with designs and colors distinct to their particular area and/or tribe. These performers known as the "best of the best" of tribal dancers in the United States possess a contemporary and traditional knowledge base that encompasses past and present ways of life.
