The end of the Spring 2 2014 CIEP term is Friday, May 9, 2014.
The 2014 CIEP summer session will begin on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 and end on August 1, 2014. Students must pick up their schedules on Monday, June 9 at 1:30 p.m. in the CIEP office, Bartlett Hall Room 3025. Grades will also be available on your MyUNIverse by May 16th. You will be able to pick up your grade report in the office on June 9th as well. Please remember that before you are able to pick up your grades and schedule for the next session, you must pay all charges on your U-bill (found on your MyUNIverse account).
If you are planning to travel after the end of the term, please check your immigration documents to make sure they are in order for travel, continued study, or completion of your studies. If you will travel out of the United States during the break, you need to be sure you have a valid visa to return. Your I-20 form must be signed on page 3. This signature must be updated every year. If you have any questions about your student visa and traveling, please contact the CIEP office.
As a reminder, students who have studied for four sessions in a row (or 9 months) are eligible for a vacation session. Students who have not studied in the US for 9 months and choose to return home for the summer must obtain a new I-20 in order to return in August.
If you will be leaving the United States for the summer, please cancel your UNI health insurance (SHIP) by calling (319) 273-7736. If you do not call and cancel your insurance, you will be billed for the months of June, July and August insurance premiums. If you remain here, you will need to continue your health insurance for the summer. If you are graduating or leaving CIEP, you will also need to cancel your health insurance.
If you have any questions, contact the CIEP main office. We look forward to seeing you in June!
