International Experience:
When I was young, I lived abroad in Taiwan and had a conversation partner. Then at Texas A&M, I had a conversation partner. These experiences eventaully led me to where I am today. Before attending UNI, I worked as a soil scientist and also worked in a program at UNI with high school students, teaching environmental science. In addition, I also worked with children at outdoor events, educating them on the environment and conservation. While studying at UNI, I took off some time to teach in Poland for 4 months in an English Language School. All these experiences have something in common, I love to teach and learn what others can bring to me through their experiences.
Why do you enjoy working with international students?
Since a young age, I have always been surrounded by many ethnicities. I have enjoyed learning the different cultures and being able to travel to gain personal experiences. Also, I love how the students are able to bring their culture and experiences to the classroom.
