In the summer of 2006 I traveled to England, France, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Liechtenstein with the Iowa Ambassadors of Music. I traveled to France and The Netherlands in the summer of 2009, and in the summer of 2011 I traveled to China to teach English through the study abroad English Teaching in China program. I spent a month in China teaching elementary-level Chinese students written and spoken English at Tung Wah private school in Dongguan, China. I also traveled to Northern Italy in the spring of 2012 with the Northern Iowa Wind Symphony. We played six concerts and participated in conducting seminars over a nine day period.
WHY DO YOU ENJOY WORKING WITH INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?
I love to learn about new cultures and meet new people-it keeps life interesting! It's also refreshing to see how different cultures interact and approach various situations and circumstances.
