It is the policy of the CIEP that all students be 18 years of age before beginning the program. However, students under the age of 18 may be admitted if the following requirements are met:
- The applicant must provide proof of successfully completing high school by submitting a copy of a high school certificate/diploma. However, if the applicant is attending the CIEP through a partner institution, it is not necessary to submit a transcript or high school diploma.
- The applicant must sign a waiver of liability and also have a parent or guardian sign the waiver.
- The applicant must have a person in the United States who will be an emergency contact.
- The applicant must live in the UNI residence halls for the first 9 months unless residing with a guardian.
