New academic policies for fall

The director and staff at CIEP have made a change to the academic probation policy in the CIEP.  Currently, a student can be put on academic probation for poor performance in class. 

Beginning in Fall 1 2011, a student can be put on academic probation for poor performance, low attendance, and repeating the same class. 

This policy will only apply to sessions after August 22, 2011.  Therefore, all students will have the same status in regards to the new policies on attendance and repetition of classes.  Attendance and course failures recorded before August 22, 2011 will not be applied to the new policies.

A copy of the new academic probation letter can be found in the student handbook.  Students will need to sign this form when they receive it and a copy will be given to them. The new notice of cheating form can also be found in the CIEP student handbook. If you have any questions regarding the new policies or new forms, please contact the main office.
