February 9 - Bass Studio Recital Winter Concert; 6:00 p.m., Graham Hall in Russell Hall; directed by Adjunct Professor of double bass, Hunter Capoccioni, free and open to the public.
February 9 -- Patti Warashina, Hearst Lecure Series, KAB 111, 7:30 p.m. Warrashina is a ceramic sculptor who is here in conjunction with an exhibition of narrative ceramics in the UNI Gallery of Art. She has been the recipient of awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Ford Foundation and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Washingon College of Arts and Sciences (contact Department of Art, 273-2077). This event is free and open to the public.
February 11-13 -- Northern Festival of Bands. An annual festival of over 40 high school bands and 250 individual participants. The UNI Wind Symphony and UNI Symphonic Band, solo competition winners, percussionist groups, Festival Concert Band, and the Festival Symphony Band all will be featured. Concerts: Friday, February 12, 7:30 p.m., (free and open to the public); Saturday, February 13, 2:00 p.m., Great Hall, GBPAC. The Saturday concert is ticketed and open to the public. February 17 -- Faculty Artist Recital, Chris Buckholz, trombone, 7:30 p.m., Bengston Auditorium in Russell Hall. Chris will present a recital with repertoire and additional performers to be announced. This event is free and open to the public. |
