Professional Development
In addition to Update conferences, the college offers a variety of workshops and summer courses for teachers. For example, the Center for Energy and Environmental Education provided energy-related materials and outreach presentations to Iowa K-12 teachers during the 2010-11 school year, and the Department of Computer Science offered two Google-supported workshops for middle and high school teachers in the summer of 2011.
CHAS offers several master’s degree programs that will enable educators to enhance their content knowledge and/or teaching methods. The programs listed below are linked to the UNI Graduate College website for specific information on eligibility and requirements.
