James Hearst Award
The Hearst Award is awarded to an undergraduate that exhibits academic and artistic promise.
- Approximately $300
- Qualifications
- Junior or senior (the following fall semester)
- 3.0 major GPA; 3.0 GPA overall
- Academic or artistic promise is the primary basis for the award, but need is also considered.
- Student in the following departments:
- Art
- Languages & Literatures
- Music
- Requirements
- UNIversity Scholarship Application
- At least one letter of recommendation from a faculty member who is familiar with the student’s work and who can attest to demonstrated scholarly/artistic contributions to the department and to the discipline. Please deliver this letter to the departmental office.
