Faculty Excellence Award
The Faculty Excellence Award, $1,500 cash award, is to honor tenured faculty who have excelled as teachers and scholars and effectively combined the two into exciting classroom experiences.
Tenured faculty in art, communication sciences and disorders, communication studies, languages and literatures, music, philosophy and world religions and theatre are eligible to be nominated. The CHAS Faculty Senate calls for nominations for the Faculty Excellence Award and selects the awardee from among the nominees.
Selected nominees will be asked to submit the following materials:
- Curricum vitae
- Two semesters' worth of student evaluations (most recent)
- Two letters of reference specifically addressing the link between teaching and research
- Personal statement describing how scholarship is connected to the classroom
- A maximum of three supporting documents (i.e., syllabi, articles, etc.)
Faculty, staff or students may make nominations. Completed Faculty Excellence Nomination Forms must be returned to the CHAS Faculty Senate by May 15, 2012.
