Achievee
Achievee is a group of 16 Iowa environmental education organizations that offer graduate credit opportunities, residential programs, reform models and in-depth classroom activities for teachers and their students. County Naturalists
Through field trips and in-class programming, county naturalists promote the development of skills and education within the art of interpreting the natural and interpretive environment.
Environmental Issues Instruction (eii)
This program trains teachers in environmental issues and instructional methods that can be introduced into classrooms K-12.
GLOBE
GLOBE
is a worldwide network of students, teachers, and scientists working together to study and understand the global environment. GLOBE students collect data in 4 major areas: Atmosphere, Hydrology, Soils and Land Cover/Biology. This website describes the GLOBE project, Iowa GLOBE, and gives information about GLOBE workshops.
Iowa Conservation Education Council
ICEC is a statewide environmental education membership association, and offers workshops and other resources for K-12 teachers.
Iowa Environmental Education
This website addresses environmental education issues in Iowa. It includes news, curriculum updates, information about grant opportunities, and workshop details.
Project WET
Project WET is Water Education for Teachers, and this website provides sample lesson plans from the Project WET guide, and gives information about workshops, water trivia and other water-related issues.
REAP Conservation Education Program
The Conservation Education Program (CEP) is a key provision of the Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) Act of 1989. A five-member board implements the CEP and annually they allocate approximately $350,000 in grants for conservation education in Iowa. Note: REAP CEP funds has assisted in making this website as well as the workshops, Waste Reduction: Addressing the Overlooked "R" and Service Learning: Moving "Reduce, Reuse and Recycling" Beyond the Classroom.
