Mini Solar Car Kits


Mini Solar Car Kits are available through Iowa Junior Solar Sprint for educators to borrow* or for anyone to purchase, and they are designed to work best for fourth graders through adults. Each kit comes with the car parts shown above, ready to assemble. Additional materials required for construction that are not included in the kit are: scrap pieces of corrugated plastic, tool for cutting corrugated plastic, pliers, hot glue sticks, hot glue gun, rubber bands, model cars for design ideas, and sunlight or other bright light source (ie. overhead projector).
Cost for 1-19 kits: $18 each (includes shipping).
Cost for 20 or more kits: $15 each + $10 shipping.

KISS the Wind Kits

KISS (Keep It Simple Student) the Wind Kits are an ideal hands-on module for discovering and learning about wind energy. The kits are designed to work best for fourth graders through adult, and each comes with all parts needed for assembly that are shown above EXCEPT FOR the plastic bottle (you must provide your own bottle or other support). Build and operate a fully functioning wind turbine and see the power of the wind transform into electricity.
Cost for 1-19 kits: $18 each (includes shipping).
Cost for 20 or more kits: $15 each + $10 shipping.
