Wedding Reception Planning

Congratulations on your recent engagement. UNI Catering would be honored to assist in the detailed planning of your wedding and creating a memory for you and your guests on this special start of your new life.

As the planning begins, we will assist in creating your celebration for the event. Our planners can help determine which venue will accommodate your guest list and reserve your wedding date if it is available.  We will help coordinate the evening, starting with the time guests arrive through the end of a memorable event.  We will guide you through your menu options and beverages to create that elegant or casual dining experience.  UNI Catering’s experienced staff will deliver memorable service so you can enjoy the evening with your guests.

Commons Facilities and Rental Costs

Slife Ballroom – $550.00 per day

The 4300 square foot, column free, ballroom features a classic look with 30 foot high ceilings beautifully painted with a modernistic gold scroll effects overhead, and woodwork of graduated colors from teal to old rose to deep mahogany red. Clear cathedral windows line the north wall bathing the space with natural sunlight or magical moonlight.

The Ballroom features a 60 inch round table seating system accompanied by elegant white linen for banquets. With round tables seating eight guests, the ballroom can accommodate a seating capacity of up to 200 guests for a banquet.

Georgian Lounge and Porch – $225.00 per day

Across the hall from the Ballroom, the Georgian Lounge continues the same warm tones as the Ballroom. The mirrors over the two fireplaces at each end of the room along with the high ceiling and the unique chandeliers make this a great gathering location. A grand piano in the corner makes it easy to add a light musical touch. The lounge and porch can be used for butler served or buffet receptions. Seating space is limited in order to facilitate the mingling of your guests. The Porch adds natural light and a comfortable setting to the more formal lounge area.

Small wedding ceremonies can be held in either the Georgian Lounge or the Slife Ballroom. Additional set up costs for weddings are $100.00 and a service attendant will be present during the rehearsal and ceremony at $80.00 per event.

Slife Ballroom and Georgian Lounge and Porch
  • Must reserve room for full-day on day of event.
  • Room rental is non-refundable and must be received within 10 days of placing a tentative hold on the space in order to confirm the space.
  • Commons Porch and Lounge furniture must remain in its existing positions so all set up elements must work around existing furniture.
Room Rental includes:
  • Wedding Planner for 2 hours of one-one-one meetings, phone calls, written correspondence and menu planning.
  • Table and chairs for the guest count
  • Locking and unlocking rooms as needed
  • Attendee to observe and monitor decoration and set up
  • Unattended coat room
  • Slife Ballroom and/or Georgian Lounge Foyer
Extended Hours of Catering Service
  • Events lasting longer than 5 hours from the arrival of the first guests for the reception to the departure of the last guest will be charged $125.00 per hour.
After Midnight
  • In the event we are able to accommodate an extension to the time frames listed above, a service fee of up to $300 per hour will apply based on the space contracted.

All tableware (plates, glasses, utensils, and napkins) used in this facility are disposable.  China can be requested through your catering planner for an additional fee.
