Locating a Co-op/Internship Position
There are several different ways to locate a co-op/internship position:
- Use UNI CareerLink to view detailed descriptions of current opportunities and on-campus interview schedules for co-op/internship positions. UNI CareerLink is available 24 hours a day through the Internet. You will have full access to UNI CareerLink after you have completed the registration process.
- Use internship directories available in Rod Library and the Career Services Library in 102 Gilchrist (E. Bartlett). You can identify book titles by using UNISTAR and doing a subject search using the terms internship programs.
- Search Internet listings for internships. Click here for links to resources.
- Directly contact employers about their possible needs for interns. Peer career assistants and professional staff from the Career Services (102 Gilchrist) can help you locate employer directories that will provide you with phone numbers and addresses of potential internship employers.
- Turn a current job into a credit-bearing co-op position. If your job involves career-related skills and responsibilities, it may qualify for co-op credit. Check with professional staff in the Co-op/Internship Program (102 Gilchrist, 273-6041) to check out this option.
