Fairs and On-Campus Interviewing

Fairs

The UNI Career Services Career Services sponsors a number of fairs during the year. Career and job fairs are held during fall and spring semsters and offer excellent opportunities to connect with UNI students who are looking for cooperative education and internship positions. If you would like to be included in the mailing list for these fairs, contact Career Services by phone (319-273-6857), fax (319-273-6998) or email.

On-Campus Interviewing

You are welcome to come to campus to interview registered students for your co-op/intern positions.

  1. Request an interview schedule by going to CareerCat and selecting the "On-Campus Interview" tab. Follow the steps in the system.
  2. Once the schedule is approved by Career Services you can attach a job posting.
  3. Begin reviewing resumes as soon as they are submitted or when you receive your bundle at the end of the application period.
  4. Search online resume database to identify additional interview candidates.
  5. Print or download applicants' documents after submission end date.
  6. Review resumes and choose preselect candidates through CareerCat.
  7. Candidates are automatically notified electronically when an employer has accepted them in CareerCat. Candidates who are not selected will see a notation in their CareerCat account.
  8. View schedules online. Candidates select interview time slots on a first-come first-serve basis.
  9. An employer may view or print the finalized on-campus schedules through CareerCat. A schedule and bundle of resumes will also be given to the employers when they arrive to conduct their on-campus interviews.
