Viewing and Managing Your Applications and Interviews

You can manage your job applications from your Applications section in eRecruiting. This includes signing up for an interview time, changing a scheduled time or withdrawing an application.

You can access Your Applications page any time you are logged in to eRecruiting by clicking on the Applications link in the main navigation bar. From the Your Applications page you can view any of your applications by clicking on the link. Note that once you have signed up for an interview schedule, that schedule is more easily found through your Events section (click on Events on the main navigation bar).

Your applications are divided into two groups: Active Applications and Historical Applications. All applications that are submitted online will appear in the Active Applications section for at least 14 days. Any application that is not waiting for an employer decision (either the decision was already made or the decision will be rendered offline) after 14 days will appear in the Historical Applications section. Applications that you withdraw are also kept in the Historical Applications section.

Accepted Interviews - Signing Up for an Interview

Once you have been Accepted for a job interview that you have applied for, you can sign up for a slot on an interview schedule.

Note: In some cases, your career center may sign you up for a slot on an interview schedule. Please contact your career center for more information in this instance.

Any time you go to Your Applications page, any application for which you have been Accepted for an interview displays a Sign Up link (unless you are already signed up for the schedule). To sign up for an interview schedule slot:

  • Click on the Sign Up link for the application for which you want to sign up for an interview.
  • On the Application Details page, click on the link to Sign Up for Interview .
  • The Interview Sign Up page displays the available interview slots for the job. Slots that are filled will be indicated onscreen and you will not be able to sign for those slots.
  • Click on the radio button for the available slot you would like to sign up for.
  • Click on the Save button.
  • If the employer has requested that applicants answer additional questions you will need to answer the displayed questions before signing up for an interview slot.

If you have successfully signed up for the interview slot, the system displays Your Personal Events page, with the new interview added to your events list.

Note: If for some reason your selected interview slot is taken (for example, if there is high activity around the job listing and another student signs up while you are in the process), the system displays a Slot Has Been Taken screen, and asks you to select another slot.

Changing the Time of an Interview

If you wish to change your time slot on an interview schedule you have signed up for, you can do so, provided that there are still available slots on the schedule. To change your time slot on an interview schedule:

  • Click on the Events link on the main navigation bar.
  • On Your Personal Events page, click on the link for the interview schedule you wish to change your slot on.
  • If there are available interview slots, a Choose a different slot link will appear on the Interview Schedule page.
  • Click on the Choose a different slot link.
  • On the Choose a Different Interview Slot page, use the radio buttons to select a new available slot, and click on the Save button.
  • The system displays Your Personal Events page, with the new interview slot included.

    Withdrawing an Application

You can withdraw an application in eRecruiting until the Employer makes an interview decision on your application. (If you want to cancel an interview after the employer has made a decision of Accept, see "Canceling an Interview".)

To withdraw an interview application, click on the Applications link on your main navigation bar. On the Your Applications page, click on the Details link for the application you wish to withdraw. On the Application Details page, click on the Withdraw link.

Note: If you withdraw before the employer has made an interview decision, you can re-apply for the interview any time until the Interview Sign-Up End date. If you decline an employer's invitation to interview, you will not be able to re-apply. You cannot withdraw your application if you have signed up for an interview. Instead, you should cancel your interview.

    Canceling an Interview

If you have been signed up for an interview slot for a job, you can cancel your interview. Simply click on the Events link on the main navigation bar. On the Events page, click on the link for the interview you wish to cancel.

Note: You will not be able to re-apply for the position.
