Leadership Camp

The Iowa Leadership Training Camp is sponsored by the Iowa Association of Student Councils in conjunction with the School Administrators of Iowa. It is a 5 day educational workshop, open to high school students in grades 9-12, that focuses on leadership curriculum involving team building techniques, self awareness and self esteem, communication skills, goal setting, organization, integrity, leadership styles, problem solving, decision making, and evaluation. The training camp is designed to provide delegates with the opportunity to acquire lifetime skills and experience personal growth, enabling them to successfully serve in any leadership position. The curriculum involves both classroom and hands on application throughout the five day experience.

These are as much lifetime skills as they are leadership skills. Every student has the capacity to become an outstanding leader, as well as a leader of tomorrow. Education is a key in developing these qualities. Our goal is to label skills, every individual inherently possesses, and provide opportunities to positively enhance, recognize, understand, implement, role model, utilize, and improve upon them.
