Why did you choose the Athletic Training Education Program at UNI?

After attending an informational meeting by Dr. Williams for the athletic training program, I understand what it was and what athletic trainers actually do and felt that it was a perfect fit.

Have there been any healthcare professionals who have mentored or inspired you?

Besides all that I have had the pleasure of working with, Rebecca Goebel, Craig Theilen, and Lindsay Grannier really stand out in my mind and have helped me tremendously.

What field experiences have you enjoyed the most and found the most rewarding?

Cedar Falls highschool gave me a good opportunity to work with a great ACI and provided tons of experiences in which to build upon.

Any advice or tips for incoming students or other interested persons?

Stay motivated and have fun. You are going feel like there is no end to the work and you are always planning ahead. Sometimes, you just have to worry about tomorrow, tomorrow and have fun with each day as it comes.

What are future plans after UNI?

I have been fortunate enough to be accepted into the graduate program here at UNI and will be working up at Wartburg College.
