While searching for the right school, I knew I wanted to graduate from a strong athletic training program. When I came for a campus visit at UNI, I was impressed with the future plans for the athletic training program and knew that UNI's program would offer me the opportunity I was looking for.

I have been inspired by both my mom (nurse) and dad (fireman/EMT) because of their loyalty, enthusiasm, and hard work to their profession.

I have enjoyed all of my rotations but I would have to say my favorites were East Waterloo High School, Waterloo Blackhawks, and UNI Football.

Do not procrastinate in your athletic training classes; it is not conducive for learning. When you are at your rotation take advantage of every opportunity to strengthen your weaknesses and learn something new.

• I will be a student in the physical therapy program at Washington University in St. Louis next year. Upon graduating, I plan to work in an out-patient physical therapy clinic or at a division one college for a few years. My ultimate goal is to be a college professor in an athletic training department.
