Why did you choose the Athletic Training Education Program at UNI?

I chose the athletic training Education program because I wanted to stay close to the athletic atmosphere and because I knew it would help further my education.

Have there been any healthcare professionals who have mentored or inspired you?

Yes, My mother who is a Registered Nurse at Sartori in the Emergency Room. Also my physical therapist Jon Woltz, who helped rehab me after my knee surgery.

What field experiences have you enjoyed the most and found the most rewarding?

I would say that I find my current rotation of Football to be the most rewarding. Hands-on experience is critical in athletic training and with all the injuries, different people, and situations that I deal with will help me that much more down the road.

Any advice or tips for incoming students or other interested persons?

Get involved! That goes for how you act in the training room and what you do outside of the classroom and training room. Doing the extra little things that will promote yourself and athletic training as a whole.

What are future plans after UNI?

I will go to physical therapy school and eventually work in a sports therapy clinic that will allow me to use my athletic training skills.
