Instructor of Art
performance art | multimedia

Aypryl Pippert is an artist working in performance and multimedia. Her works correlate with themes associated to domestic commitments, social expectations and perceptions, and gender.

She is inspired by studies in neuroscience that correlate brain function and chemistry to creativity and perception. This study has informed recent works pertaining to the theme of “domestic commitment” as commentary on “marital commitment” and ideological feminine themes.

The iconic white wedding gown functions as a material symbol representing an illusion of grandeur and serves as the primary medium for Pippert’s work. The dress as an object is explored and exposed in an attempt to understand the nature of the feminine mind.
