Philip Fass
Professor of Art

Philip Fass teaches Typography, Publication Design and advanced Graphic Design classes. He earned his MFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. A member of the faculty since 1991, his work has been published at the national and international level, and it has been honored numerous times for excellence. 



























Professor Fass’ work is in the collections of the Felice Feliciano Archive in Verona, the Newberry Library, Chicago; the Chicago Book Clinic, Chicago; the Brown University Special Collections, Boston; and the Manuel de Falla Archive, Madrid, Spain. He has been guest lecturer 
and presenter at other universities and has presented papers at the annual conference of the International Visual Literacy Association. In 2004 Professor Fass was a recipient of the Iowa Regent’s Award for Faculty Excellence. Work produced by his students has received high honors in professional contests at the state and regional level.
