The Major Decision - Anthropology (6:41) - Explore the Anthropology major at the University of Northern Iowa!  Anthropology is the study of human and other primates. Anthropology majors study how groups live with each other and how biology and cultures have changed over time. Anthropologists are found in all sectors of the professional world— corporations, government, education, nonprofit associations, and disaster areas.  UNI sophomore Megan learns about the Anthropology major through a discussion with Dr. Tyler O'Brien, Assistant Professor of Anthropology.

 

 

The Major Decision - Earth Science (8:31) - Explore the Earth Science major at the University of Northern Iowa!  The field of Earth Science is very diverse - trying to understand the world around us including the earth's functions and processes to how we fit into the universe.   Earth Science graduates can purse careers as a geologist, hydrologist, environmental scientist, park ranger and much more!  UNI freshman Anna learns about the Earth Science major through a discussion with Dr. Chad Heinzel, Assistant Professor of Geology

 

 

The Major Decision - The Study of Religion Part 1 - Faculty Conversation (4:55) - Explore the Study of Religion major at the University of Northern Iowa! Studying religion at UNI will give you the opportunity to: explore the history, culture and texts of the major world religions; analyze a variety of different belief systems; and critically examine social and ethical dimensions of religious world views. Carmen, a UNI freshman, has an unscripted discussion with Dr. Susan Hill, Associate Professor, Philosophy & World Religions, about the Study of Religion.

Studying religion at UNI will give you the opportunity to: explore the history, culture and texts of the major world religions; analyze a variety of different belief systems; and critically examine social and ethical dimensions of religious world views. In an open (and unscripted) discussion, Carmen, a UNI freshman, talks with upperclassmen from the Study of Religion major.
