Registration Tips and Resources
See your advisor! Your advisor can be a great source of information about classes as well as about opportunities and careers in your particular field(s) of interest. Some students must see an academic advisor to have an advisor hold removed before registering for classes in the next semester. See the current Schedule of Classes book to determine if the department of your major requires you to see an advisor before registering.
Not certain how to register? You can either use the web registration system through MyUNIverse or complete your registration in person at the Office of the Registrar . Use the guide Registration Resources on MyUNIverse (pdf) to learn how to navigate the web registration system.
Register on your assigned date and time! Your priority day and time is determined by the number of credit hours you have completed. You can find your assigned date and time using the guide to Registration Resources on MyUNIverse (pdf).
Be prepared with a list of alternatives. Make a plan of alternate sections and classes for your semester schedule before starting your registration.
What can I do if I want to get into a course or course section that is already closed? Consider these questions and recommendations for enrolling in a closed course or course section.
Planning to graduate after the next two (or less) semesters? Meet with your Record Analyst in the Registrar's Office to verfy that you will complete all the necessary academic and course requirements for your graduation.
