Academic Department Recommendations:
College of Business Administration
Admission into the College of Business Administration requires a minimum of 30 cumulative semester hours of college credit, and a 2.5 cumulative grade point average, as well as the completion of several specific courses, including College Reading and Writing, Macroeconomics, Introduction to Statistics, Business Statistics or Introduction to Decision Techniques.
Accounting
Courses taken during your freshman and sophomore years should include Accounting I and II, Principles of Macro-Economics, Principles of Micro-Economics, an introductory course in information systems, Introductory and Business Statistics, and Introduction to Decision Techniques. You are encouraged to select other courses that complement your major, instead of additional courses in business. Economics
Business Analysis Emphasis:
Students pursuing this degree should concentrate the first two years on Liberal Arts Core coursework. Business classes to take during this time include Accounting I and II, Principles of Macro-Economics, Principles of Micro-Economics, an introductory course in information systems, Introductory and Business Statistics, and Introduction to Decision Techniques.
Quantitative Techniques Emphasis:
Courses equivalent to Principles of Macro-Economics and Principles of Micro-Economics would be useful. Courses in mathematics and calculus are particularly useful if you have an interest in quantitative analysis.
Finance
As with most majors in the College of Business Administration, Finance majors should include the following courses in their freshman and sophomore years: Principles of Accounting I and II, Principles of Macro-Economics, Principles of Micro-Economics, Introduction to Information Systems, Introductory and Business Statistics, and Introduction to Decision Techniques.

Marketing
You are encouraged to select courses that complement your major, as well as the following courses, in your first two years: Principles of Accounting I and II, Principles of Macro-Economics, Principles of Micro-Economics, Introduction to Information Systems, Introductory and Business Statistics, and Introduction to Decision Techniques. Other courses might include communications, graphic arts, journalism, or psychology.
