Job Title: Student Alumni Ambassador
What's your responsibility related to working with Admissions?
I volunteer for a campus group,
Student Admissions Ambassadors. We are responsible for the prospective UNI student
tours on campus as well as staffing many of UNI's events.
What do you like best about being an Ambassador?
I love meeting new people. I have met many foundation members, faculty, and staff that I never would have if it were not for SAA. The networking, relationships,
and opportunities that have come from my short time in SAA are very important to me.
Why did you choose to join SAA?
I wanted to be able to share my love for UNI with others. Whether it's on a campus tour, a
preview day panel, or talking with people wherever
I am; sharing my love for UNI and its impact on me is something I truly care about.
What's your funniest UNI story?
I was walking around campus the day before classes started my Freshman year just trying to make sure I knew exactly where I needed to be. I do not know how I managed
to do it, but I found myself on the corner of College Street and 23 when I was trying to find the library. So the next day, I decided to carry my planner with me. While
staring at my planner and trying to find my classes, I walked in to one of the cement ad boards. Luckily, I'm in SAA now so I don't have to worry about that anymore.
What's something unique about you?
I asked my friends for help with this because I thought I was pretty normal but they came up with a list: I have to fold my laundry immediately when it comes out of the dryer,
I use my blinker all the time-even to go around a curve, I am a ridiculous multi-tasker, I know an obscene amount of useless information, I rarely wear matching socks, I brush
my teeth at least 4 times a day, I love the smell of new shoes, I have the best sad puppy dog face in the world, and I have a ridiculous obsession with Grey's Anatomy. I thought
these were pretty normal things… haha!
