The Center of Multicultural Education (CME) exists to share and reflect the culture of African Americans, Latino or Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and Asian Americans. The CME favorably portrays these cultures through its programming and fosters a positive sense of identity, pride, and confidence among members of the campus and wider communities.

UNI has a wide variety of options available.
Ethnic Student Promoters (ESP)
assist in multi-cultural visits by guiding prospective students, parents and counselors on campus tours, accompanying
them to lunch in a dining center, and presenting “life as a UNI student.”
Multicultural Coordinating Council
The Multicultural Coordinating Council (MCC) coordinates efforts for the recruitment and retention of African-American, Hispanic/Latino American, Asian American and Native American students by providing and promoting a supportive academic, social and cultural environment.

The Multicultural Resource Guide contains a collection of on- and off-campus resources for multicultural students.
Jump Start Orientation Program
UNI Jump Start is a special orientation program that provides students with an opportunity to make a smooth transition to the University.
