Study/Interest Groups

Study/interest groups support the mission, values, and stratigic plan of the branch. Here's how you can participate:

Women in Motion

Participate in service projects, activities and events that provide some degree of physical activity. Dates, times and locations vary depending upon the activity. Group Facilitator - Jane Close

Literature

Learn about books other group members have read. Members select books they find personally interesting and think others may also enjoy. Meets on second Mondays at 1:15 p.m. in members’ homes. Group Facilitator - Jean Kelly

International Studies

Participate in a Great Decisions monthly discussion of a current global issue to learn about complex issues that are important to our knowledge of international affairs. Members of the group will rotate the role of discussion leader. Meets on third Mondays at 1:15 p.m. in members’ homes. Group Facilitators - Lois Crowley, Kathy Agness

Bridge for Educational Foundation

Play bridge while contributing to the Educational Foundation each time you play ($2 donation). Meets on third Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. at the Bonanza Restaurant and on fourth Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. in members’ homes. Group Facilitator - Dargy Baxter

Study/interest groups are open to all members in good standing. Prospective branch members are invited to attend on a temporary basis, prior to joining AAUW. For persons not eligible for regular membership, a Friend of AAUW membership is available for the cost of branch dues.
