Program Information for B.A. Technology Education
UNI’s 2+2 program in technology education (teaching) is currently being field tested at several Iowa community colleges to fill the need for technology education instructors in central and western Iowa.
This major prepares graduates to teach Technology Education or Industrial Technology at the secondary level (junior high and high school) in Iowa as well as other places around the country. Program graduates receive an Iowa teacher license in Industrial Technology.
In the field testing, faculty are working on a cooperative approach to offer all lab courses at the community college. Students in the program take two-thirds of their required classes in hybridized laboratory course for university credit.
