Why did you choose the UNI/DMACC/Carroll 2+2 program?

I am place bound and the program is located in my town of residence.  I think higher education is very important and I was able to set an example for my children through this program.

How has the program helped you professionally?

Because most of the classes were held in the late afternoon or evening, I was able to hold a full-time job while attending classes. I loved student teaching as much as I anticipated and was anxious to have my own classroom.  My preference for a job is PreK-2nd but I enjoy all kids and applied for all elementary jobs in the area and several jobs away from home.

What opportunities did 2+2 open for you?

I had always wanted to go back to school to get my teaching degree, but found it almost impossible since the major universities were so far away.  As a wife and mother of 3, the program schedule made it easy for me to attend family events and still complete my education.
