Why did you choose the UNI/DMACC 2+2 program?

Choosing to attend the DMACC/UNI 2+2 program was an easy decision.  I had been trying to finish my college education for several years between working and having children.  When I heard that UNI had a program in Carroll, I was so excited! All my life I've wanted to be a teacher.

How has the program helped you professionally?

Growing up in Iowa I knew that the University of Northern Iowa was known and very well-respected for their College of Education.  After having field experiences in the area, next year I plan on substitute teaching and will look for a full-time job when my oldest child is in kindergarten.

What opportunities did 2+2 open for you?

The program worked very well around my schedule.  Most classes were held at night, which helped tremendously with our family schedule. This experience has been great for my children as well.  They get to see the importance I have placed on higher education in my life.
