Why did you choose the UNI/DMACC/Carroll 2+2 program?

I chose this program because it is close to home.  I was able to help my husband with his business and attend my children’s school functions.  I also chose this program because I heard good things about UNI.

How has the program helped you professionally?

This program really helped me become prepared for the teaching field.  If I had not had all of the field experiences that were required of me, I would not have been fully prepared for student teaching.  It also helped me decide that teaching is what I want to do.  The program has also benefited my children, as I am more confident and knowledgeable and am able to help them with their homework. I plan on staying in the area and looking for a teaching job.  There are some teachers who will be retiring soon, and because I was able to do field experiences and student teach in the communities near me, I was able to find out this information.

What opportunities did 2+2 open for you?

This program not only allowed me to do something I have wanted to do for a long time, it also gave me the confidence in myself that I never thought I had.  I will also be able to earn a better living for my family and myself and be able to give back to community.
