Project WET Educator Workshop
Saturday March 15 and Saturday April 5 8:00am-4:30pm
AEA 7, 3712 Cedar Heights Dr. Cedar Falls and Hartman Reserve Nature Center
This workshop will combine Project WET and the Leopold Education Project. Each participant pays just $50 and receives one hour of graduate credit
through the University of Northern Iowa (regularly $244 per hour), a
Project WET
Activity and Curriculum Guide, Leopold Education Project Guide, snacks, access to the Iowa WETNet and

Project WET & Explore More: Water Quality Workshop
Saturday April 26 and Saturday May 3 9:00am-5:00pm
Heartland AEA Learning Center, 6445 Corporate Drive.
This special workshop links Project WET Activities with the IP
TV Explore More: Water Quality Program. Participants will learn techniques for us
ing media in the classroom, participate in activities that teach water quality con
cepts addressed in the video, and develop a research and action plan for a water i
ssue that interests them. All Participants receive the Project WET Activity and C
urriculum Guide, the Explore More: Water Quality Video and one hour of graduate cr
edit through the University of Northern Iowa. Cost: $50.00 Participants who compl

Iowa Project WET Teacher workshops are 16 hours long spread out over 2 or 3 days. Teacher workshops include 1 hour graduate credit through the University of Northern Iowa. A tuition stipend from REAP-CEP covers most of the cost of tuition. A registration fee of $50 is charged for each workshop. Participants become familiar with the Project WET Activity and Curriculum Guide, peer teach activities that use a variety of teaching and learning styles, and share classroom experiences. Workshops are arranged throughout the state each year by Project WET facilitators. Contact the Iowa Project WET office for dates and locations.
